Previously, 3D capture on iOS relied on LiDAR sensors found exclusively on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models. With this upgrade, any iPhone or iPad operating iOS 17 or later can utilize cloud-based photogrammetry. Simply record a video following our photogrammetry guidelines tutorial, and the app uploads the footage to our secure server, where an intricate 3D model is crafted and returned—ready for AR viewing via an automatically generated QR Code.

This brings superior 3D scanning to nearly every Apple device, with no additional hardware required.
